The role
Cooley LLP seeks an associate with 4-7 PQE for its San Diego corporate practice. This role is for experienced lawyers handling capital markets, SEC reporting, and corporate governance for public and private companies. Experience with high-growth businesses is a plus.
What you'll do
- Represent companies in capital markets transactions
- Represent public companies with SEC (’34 Act) reporting, corporate governance matters, and exchange compliance
- Manage client relationships and handle the day-to-day demands and workflow requirements of public company clients with sophisticated needs
- Represent high-growth businesses in connection with financings, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters
What we're looking for
Four to seven years of experience
Experience with public and/or private companies
Experience representing companies in capital markets transactions
Experience representing public companies with SEC (’34 Act) reporting, corporate governance matters, and exchange compliance
Experience managing client relationships and handling the day-to-day demands and workflow requirements of public company clients with sophisticated needs
Experience representing high-growth businesses in connection with financings, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters
Experience working in the corporate department of a national or international law firm
High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
