The role
This role is for an Associate Patent Litigation Attorney with 2-6 years of PQE, focusing on patent litigation in U.S. District Court and before the PTAB. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, excellent academic achievement, and a technical degree in engineering, computer science, or physics.
What you'll do
- Participate in underlying case analyses
- Conduct factual and legal research
- Draft pleadings
- Participate in discovery on infringement, validity, and damages issues
- Participate in depositions and expert discovery
- Research and draft dispositive and discovery motions
- Draft claim construction briefing
- Participate in pre-trial and trial activities
What we're looking for
2-6 years of significant patent litigation experience
Experience in U.S. District Court and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board
Experience with post-grant proceedings
Experience participating in underlying case analyses
Experience conducting factual and legal research
Experience drafting pleadings
Experience participating in discovery on infringement, validity, and damages issues
Experience with depositions and expert discovery
Experience researching and drafting dispositive and discovery motions
Experience with claim construction briefing
Experience participating in pre-trial and trial activities
Undergraduate or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and/or physics
High level of academic achievement from a law school institution
Excellent writing skills
Comfortable speaking directly with clients and opposing counsel
Willingness to actively participate in the strategic development of the case
Experience standing up in court· nice to have
