The role
Cooley is seeking 3rd-6th year associates to join its elite private companies team. This role is for associates with at least three years of substantial experience working with early-stage and growth-stage companies, with a focus on general corporate matters, venture capital financings, and liquidity events.
What you'll do
- Advise disruptive companies and the investors who fund them
- Build and run a practice
- Participate in speaking engagements
- Contribute to the development of Cooley’s national private companies platform
What we're looking for
3rd-6th year associate level
At least three years of substantial experience working with early-stage and growth-stage companies
Experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm
Strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school
Experience counseling venture-backed companies on general corporate matters throughout their growth cycle
Experience with venture capital financings
Experience with liquidity events
