Fund Formation Attorney: 2nd - 7th year at Cooley

The role

Cooley LLP is seeking an attorney with 2-7 years of PQE in private investment fund formation. This role is for candidates with experience in sponsor and investor representation, fund formation, sponsor-level, and secondary transactions, ideally from a national or international law firm.

What we're looking for

Two to seven years of private investment fund formation experience

Experience representing sponsors and investors in private investment funds

Completed fund formation transactions

Completed sponsor-level transactions (i.e., involving the general partner and management company entities)

Completed secondary transactions involving limited partner and/or portfolio company interests

Worked in the corporate department of a national or international law firm

High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
