Key requirements

The role
The Employment, Executive Compensation, and Benefits practice group seeks a lateral associate with 2-6 years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits matters to join their U.S. offices. This role involves providing legal expertise on executive compensation aspects of corporate transactions, advising clients on related issues, and developing strategies, drafting documents, and ensuring compliance.
What you'll do
- Work on executive compensation and employee benefits portions of private equity and public company transactions including mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and asset sales
- Provide legal advice and counsel on executive compensation and employee benefits matters
- Assist in the design, implementation, and administration of executive compensation plans and programs
- Draft and review employment agreements and other compensation-related documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends
- Advise clients on compliance with federal and state laws, including ERISA, tax laws, and securities regulations
- Assist in the negotiation and drafting of executive employment contracts and severance agreements
- Collaborate with other practice groups, such as tax and corporate, to ensure comprehensive client representation
- Stay updated on emerging legal developments and best practices in executive compensation and employee benefits
What we're looking for
