Associate (2 - 6 years)

The role

The Employment, Executive Compensation, and Benefits practice group is seeking lateral associates with 2-6 years of PQE in executive compensation and employee benefits. This role is for U.S. offices and focuses on providing legal expertise on the executive compensation aspects of corporate transactions, advising clients on various compensation and benefits issues, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

What you'll do

• Work on executive compensation and employee benefits portions of private equity and public company transactions including mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and asset sales
• Provide legal advice and counsel on executive compensation and employee benefits matters
• Assist in the design, implementation, and administration of executive compensation plans and programs
• Draft and review employment agreements and other compensation-related documents
• Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends
• Advise clients on compliance with federal and state laws, including ERISA, tax laws, and securities regulations
• Assist in the negotiation and drafting of executive employment contracts and severance agreements
• Collaborate with other practice groups, such as tax and corporate, to ensure comprehensive client representation
• Stay updated on emerging legal developments and best practices in executive compensation and employee benefits
