The role
The Finance Practice Group is seeking a mid-level associate with 4-5 PQE for sophisticated leveraged financing transactions. The role will represent private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, and financial institutions in debt financing, advising on structuring, execution, and compliance.
What you'll do
- Represent private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies and/or financial institutions in debt financing transactions
- Assist and provide legal guidance to clients in structuring and executing leverage finance transactions
- Draft and review credit and service agreements, high yield bond indentures, commitment letters and term sheets, security, and guarantee agreements and intercreditor and subordination agreements
- Support clients during and after transactions by providing legal advice to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
- Stay current on industry trends and legal developments
What we're looking for
4-5 years of legal experience in leveraged financing transactions
Experience at a large law firm
Experience representing private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers and/or lenders
High degree of attention to detail
Strong analytical abilities
Strong academic record
J.D. degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to and in good standing of the Massachusetts Bar
Experience working in a global team environment· nice to have
