Associate - Liability Management (Mid-Level)

The role

Latham & Watkins is seeking highly qualified associates with a minimum of four years of applicable experience to join their industry-leading Liability Management team. This role focuses on advising public and private companies, sponsors, and investors on complex liability management transactions and distressed situations, requiring comfort working across the capital structure and navigating bespoke debt and equity instruments.

What you'll do

• Conduct detailed structural analysis of existing capital structures to identify opportunities for liability management solutions
• Advise clients on strategic alternatives and execution risk
• Draft, analyze and negotiate transaction support agreements, credit agreements, indentures, intercreditor arrangements, and related transaction documents
• Manage junior associates and support their development
