The role
Reed Smith seeks a Labor & Employment Counsel with 10+ years of PQE to join its San Francisco office, focusing on employment litigation. This senior role requires independent case management, strategy leadership, and supervision of junior attorneys.
What you'll do
- Oversee all phases of litigation
- Serve as lead or day-to-day case manager
- Supervise associates and staff
- Act as a primary client contact
- Contribute to business development
- Contribute to client relationship growth
What we're looking for
At least ten years of employment litigation experience
Substantial work on single plaintiff matters and wage and hour class actions
Active member of the California bar
Senior attorney capable of independently managing a full caseload
Ability to lead case strategy
Ability to supervise associates
Strong project management skills
Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously
Significant deposition experience
Significant courtroom experience
Experience arguing motions
Experience handling hearings
Experience with employment advice and counseling· nice to have
