Real Estate Energy Associate

The role

This role is for a Solicitor with strong commercial real estate experience, ideally at least 2 years PQE, to join a Tier 1 rated Real Estate Energy and Infrastructure team in Edinburgh or Glasgow. The associate will focus on nationally significant energy and infrastructure projects driving the UK's net zero transition, including DCO and CPO projects.

What you'll do

• Advise on the real estate aspects of energy, renewables and infrastructure projects
• Draft and negotiate key real estate documents
• Lead title, access, site assembly and land due diligence work
• Support major infrastructure consenting and delivery
• Work directly with developers, landowners, investors, funders, public bodies and other stakeholders on complex, high-value matters
• Collaborate across the dedicated Energy Sector Team, with colleagues across real estate, energy, planning, construction, corporate, regulatory and finance to deliver joined-up advice
• Help supervise and develop junior lawyers
• Take real responsibility for client relationships and transaction delivery
