Associate/Solicitor (2-5 PQE) - Motor Crime (Regulatory Crime) at Clyde & Co

The role

We are seeking a lawyer with 2-5 PQE in Motor Crime to join our specialist Regulatory Crime Department in Manchester. This role is for lawyers experienced in defending motor crime investigations and prosecutions, representing clients across England & Wales from initial police investigations through to trial.

What you'll do

Represent clients across England & Wales from early police investigations through to trial
Engage in police station representation
Participate in criminal court proceedings
Undertake Coroners’ Court work
Handle complex cases supported by leading experts and King’s Counsel

What we're looking for

Experience in defending motor crime investigations and prosecutions

Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System (England & Wales)

Experience with or exposure to motoring offences

Strong communication and client-handling skills

A proactive, resilient approach in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to travel nationally

Full UK driving licence essential

Advocacy experience is beneficial but not required· nice to have
