The role

MinterEllison is seeking a Senior Associate with 5+ years of experience to join their Energy, Resources & Projects team in Melbourne on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role focuses on advising clients on complex energy regulatory matters and large-scale energy projects.

What you'll do

Advise on major government and commercial energy projects
Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements
Provide strategic regulatory advice and compliance guidance
Support clients to achieve both commercial and policy objectives
Engage directly with a broad client base across government and corporate sectors

What we're looking for

5+ years’ post-admission experience in commercial and regulatory law

Admitted to practice in Victoria

Demonstrated experience in contract drafting and regulatory advisory work

A strong interest in or exposure to energy and infrastructure projects

The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team-driven culture

A client-focused mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships

Excellent analytical skills

Attention to detail
