The role
The firm is seeking associates with law school class years between 2019 and 2025 for its tax practice. This role is for candidates with a strong understanding of tax law, relevant transactional tax experience, and excellent communication and analytical skills, with an emphasis on client interaction and public speaking.

Class-year appropriate understanding of technical aspects of tax law
Research and writing abilities
Relevant transactional tax experience
Experience with strategic and private equity M&A transactions
Experience with capital markets transactions (including spin-offs and IPOs)
Experience with energy taxation (including oil and gas and/or energy transition)
Experience with investment fund formation
Experience with real estate matters (including REIT)
Outstanding oral communication skills
Outstanding analytical skills
Top academic credentials
Ability to think creatively about interesting, difficult, and often novel problems
Interpersonal skills
Enthusiasm about interacting directly with clients and other members of the tax group
Enthusiasm about getting involved with public speaking
