New York/Chicago/Washington D.C.- Investment Management Group - Registered Funds Mid-Level Associate

The role

The Investment Management Group is seeking a mid-level associate (class of 2022-2020) with experience in 1940 Act registered funds and business development company work. Experience in the investment management group of a peer firm is preferred for this role, which can be based in New York, Chicago, or Washington, D.C.

What you'll do

• Advise funds, fund sponsors, underwriters and other service providers on the structuring, offering, operation, ongoing financing and regulation of registered investment companies
• Provide corporate and regulatory advice for the boards of directors of business development companies
• Work with M&A colleagues on 1940 Act matters in connection with asset manager M&A transactions
• Shape career trajectories while contributing to groundbreaking legal work
• Devote time to pro bono causes that spark interests and match legal needs in the community
