The role
The Finance group in New York is seeking an experienced associate (class of 2020-2022) with expertise in secured lending transactions and UCC issues. The role involves advising clients, reviewing documentation, and contributing to the firm's knowledge management materials, while supporting attorneys across various practice areas.
What you'll do
- Review security documentation
- Advise clients on personal property security interest issues and structures
- Review security interest opinions
- Keep abreast of any upcoming changes to the UCC and related laws
- Help with the Firm’s knowledge management materials in this field
- Support Finance attorneys
- Support attorneys in various other transactional and non-transactional practice areas
What we're looking for
Four to six years of Finance experience
Solid law firm experience
High level of academic achievement
Expertise in various types of secured lending transactions· nice to have
Familiarity with drafting and negotiating security interest opinions· nice to have
Emphasis on Article 9 Secured Transactions and Article 8 Investment Securities matters· nice to have
