The role
Skadden is seeking junior to mid-level associates (class of 2023-2019) with 2-6 years of experience to join its Global Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Practice and AI Practice. This role will focus on assisting clients with AI, cybersecurity, and data privacy matters, including incident preparedness, regulatory defense, program building, due diligence, and policy drafting.
What we're looking for
Two to six years of relevant experience
Experience handling data privacy, AI, and cybersecurity matters
High level of academic achievement
Solid law firm experience
Experience assisting clients with AI, cybersecurity, and privacy incident preparedness and response· nice to have
Experience assisting clients with conducting regulatory defense investigations relating to AI, data privacy and cybersecurity issues· nice to have
Experience assisting clients with building legally defensible AI, data privacy, and cybersecurity programs in the US (including for NIST, CCPA, BIPA, HIPAA, WMHMDA, and other US state and federal privacy laws)· nice to have
Experience assisting clients with conducting AI, data privacy, and cybersecurity due diligence and M&A support· nice to have
Experience assisting clients with drafting AI, privacy, and cybersecurity policies and negotiating data processing and related agreements· nice to have
Strong interest in the fields of AI, data privacy and cybersecurity· nice to have
Work experience in the federal government or law enforcement on AI, cybersecurity, or data privacy issues, including non-legal experience· nice to have
