Senior Associate – Private Equity Real Estate at Mallesons

The role

This is a Senior Associate role in the Private Equity Real Estate practice group for ambitious candidates looking to join a market-leading team. The role involves supporting Quintin du Plessis, working on complex strategic and transactional work for global and regional private equity real estate sponsors, managers, and investors.

What you'll do

Work with leading global and regional private equity real estate sponsors, managers and investors on strategic and transactional work
Work closely with Quintin du Plessis on credit styled investment
Work with specialist teams across the firm
Engage in and foster client relationships to deliver relevant, prompt and commercially astute advice
Build a culture of commitment to achieve the best results for clients and the team

What we're looking for

Previous experience in private equity, funds, financing or commercial real estate within a first-tier or other high-profile practice

Exposure to the structuring of equity styled investment into commercial real estate assets

First rate written and oral communication skills

Strong drafting and legal analysis skills

Ability to get across complex areas of law quickly

Ability to work well with others

Ability to collaborate and work in a team

Experience in structuring joint ventures, funds establishment, real estate credit or debt and other real estate investment and real estate capital market transactions· nice to have
