The role

Kirkland & Ellis seeks an Investment Funds, Registered Funds/BDC Associate with 3-5 years of PQE for its Boston, New York, or Washington D.C. offices. This role focuses on the Registered Funds practice within the Investment Funds Group, requiring experience with various retail fund products and regulatory matters.

What we're looking for

Three to five years of experience

Experience in a recognized investment funds practice

Significant experience with forming, structuring and advising on a variety of retail fund products

Experience with U.S. and global regulatory, compliance and distribution matters

Public company reporting experience

Capital markets experience

Outstanding analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong academic credentials

Juris Doctor

Relevant state/District of Columbia bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) required

Experience with traditional funds, such as mutual funds, ETFs and listed closed-end funds· nice to have

Experience with alternative funds, including interval/tender offer funds, business development companies (BDCs), real estate investment trusts (REITs), holding company and similar structures· nice to have
