The role
Kirkland & Ellis seeks an Investment Funds Registered Funds/BDC Associate with 3-5 years of PQE to join its Investment Funds Group in Los Angeles, New York, or Boston. This role will focus on advising clients on various retail fund products, including traditional funds, alternative funds, and BDCs.
What we're looking for
Three to five years of experience
Experience in a recognized investment funds practice
Significant experience with forming, structuring and advising on a variety of retail fund products, including traditional funds, mutual funds, ETFs, listed closed-end funds, interval/tender offer funds, business development companies (BDCs), real estate investment trusts (REITs), “holding company” and similar structures
Juris Doctor degree
Relevant state/District of Columbia bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)
Outstanding analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong academic credentials
Experience with regulatory, compliance and distribution – both U.S. and global – matters· nice to have
Public company reporting experience· nice to have
Capital markets experience· nice to have
