Associate– Corporate M&A (2-3 years PQE)

The role

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is seeking an Associate in their Corporate M&A team in Dubai, UAE. This role is for a lawyer with 2-3 years of PQE, focusing on advising on a range of complex M&A transactions, joint ventures, and investments, particularly within the Energy and Infrastructure sectors.

What you'll do

• Advise on a range of transactions across multiple sectors, with an increased focus on transactional work in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors
• Be involved in M&A, joint ventures, investments (including venture capital transactions and pre-IPO capital raisings) and reorganisations
• Lead on certain aspects of transactions
• Assist and supervise associates, the firm’s Digital Legal Delivery team and trainees
• Build relationships with clients, identifying and acting on opportunities
• Plan, prioritise and delegate work tasks as appropriate and update supervising team member on progress
• Provide excellent client service and prompt responses and progress updates to the client
• Build effective relationships with individuals and groups in and across offices
• Uphold the firm’s values
• Assist with the preparation of legal precedents, legal articles, marketing documents and presentations
• Comply with risk requirements, firm policies and all relevant professional responsibilities and legislation
