The role

Simmons & Simmons is seeking an Associate with 1-4 years of experience to join their Funds practice in London/Bristol, United Kingdom. This role focuses on advising hedge fund managers on the establishment, structuring, operation, and regulation of hedge funds, involving drafting documents and leading fund launches and restructurings.

What you'll do

Advise hedge fund managers, investment managers and investors on the establishment, structuring, operation and ongoing regulation of hedge funds
Draft and negotiate offering documents, investment management agreements, subscription documents, investor side letters and related investor communications
Lead fund launches, restructurings and ongoing fund matters

What we're looking for

1-4 years of PQE

Strong academics

Strong funds experience

Sound understanding of the establishment, structuring, operation and ongoing regulation of open-ended investment funds

Good range of transactional hedge funds experience

Experience gained at another international or offshore firm

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in tax, financial services regulatory, corporate and other specialist teams

Strong client focus

Ability and willingness to get actively involved in marketing and business development

Commercially driven

Flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours on occasion as required
