Cooley is seeking a Summer Associate for its Debt Finance practice in Washington D.C. for the 2028 Summer Program. This role is for law students interested in gaining experience in complex debt and lease financing transactions, advising various lenders and companies seeking financing.
What you'll do
- Represent debt and lease financing sources
- Represent companies, private equity sponsors, and investment funds that seek debt financing
- Represent banks and non-bank funds investing in emerging companies
- Advise clients on the intricacies of debt instruments
- Structure a diverse range of registered public offerings, 144A debt placements, and traditional private placements
- Counsel clients on alternative deal terms

Benefits
Annualized salary of $235,000
Semi-monthly base pay of $9,791.67
