The role

TLT is seeking a Contract Lawyer with 3+ years of PQE to join its busy Employment team. This role will involve supporting employers with various workplace issues and employment law matters, acting for respondents in Employment Tribunal claims, and providing advice on TUPE, corporate deals, and contract drafting. The position is based in Birmingham, Bristol, or Edinburgh.

What you'll do

Help employers manage issues in the workplace such as disciplinaries, grievances, restructuring and redundancies
Lead on Employment Tribunal claims (almost exclusively acting for Respondents)
Provide employment law support in TUPE matters, corporate deals and outsourcing contracts, contract drafting and client training
Draft contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, staff handbooks, settlement agreements and other employment related documentation
Collaborate with Partners and work closely with the wider national Employment team

What we're looking for

A qualified lawyer with 3+ years PQE in an employment team

Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills

Ability to manage workloads and deadlines

Commercially aware with some exposure to business development

Ability to maintain and nurture strong client relationships

Ability to develop a deep understanding of client’s business needs

Ability to act in the best interest of the firm and the client

Ambition to assist in the development of junior team members
