Paralegal - Real Estate Litigation

The role

Penningtons Manches Cooper is seeking a Paralegal with a focus on Real Estate Litigation to join their London office. This role will support a busy team, primarily managing residential repossession claims and handling client contact.

What you'll do

• Support a busy team acting largely for one client
• Handle the day to day management of residential repossession claims based on unpaid rent, anti-social behaviour and other breaches of tenancy
• Manage a large caseload with a lot of client contact
• Correspond with other firms of solicitors and third parties such as the courts, experts, counsel's clerks and counsel
• Undertake fee-earning work and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the department
• Project manage a large caseload under supervision from senior members of the team
• Provide document support and management in the course of real estate litigation including organising, collating reviewing and supplying court bundles
• Liaise with courts, counsel and other third parties
• Attend client and other meetings and produce accurate notes of such meetings and activity lists
• Ensure compliance with professional duties and the firm’s internal procedures
• Participate in business development initiatives
• Keep up to date with developments in the law
• Assist in the billing process
• Participate in firm wide and team specific training sessions
