Commercial Litigation Associate

The role

DMG Advocates LLP is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of PQE to join their Toronto-based practice. This role offers the opportunity to manage significant litigation matters, work directly with clients, and develop alongside experienced litigators within a collaborative boutique firm.

What you'll do

• Manage and support commercial litigation matters from intake through resolution, both as part of a team and independently
• Draft pleadings, motions, applications, affidavits, facta, mediation briefs, and other litigation materials
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal memoranda
• Attend examinations, mediations, motions, applications, pre-trials, and other court appearances
• Work directly with partners, senior associates, law clerks, clients, opposing counsel, and experts
• Develop litigation strategy and assist with file management, discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
• Maintain strong client service standards and contribute to the firm’s collegial culture
• Provide timely and responsive advice to clients and proactively moving matters forward
