Employment Paralegal

The role

Shoosmiths is seeking an Employment Paralegal to join its leading national Employment practice in Southampton/Milton Keynes. This role will support partners and lawyers on a broad range of advisory and contentious employment law matters, offering development opportunities for individuals seeking a long-term career in this field.

What you'll do

• Assist with Employment Tribunal claims, including preparing bundles, drafting correspondence and conducting legal research
• Support lawyers with day-to-day employment advisory matters, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance management issues and absence management
• Draft and review employment documentation, including contracts of employment, settlement agreements, policies and procedures
• Assist on corporate transactions and TUPE-related matters
• Conduct legal research and prepare briefing notes for clients and team members
• Manage document reviews and disclosure exercises
• Prepare hearing bundles and liaise with counsel, clients and Tribunal offices
• Maintain case management systems and ensure files are managed in accordance with firm procedures
• Support business development initiatives, client seminars, webinars and marketing activities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
