Simmons Adaptive - Interim DCM Lawyer at Simmons & Simmons

The role

Simmons & Simmons is seeking an interim Debt Capital Markets Lawyer with 8+ years of experience for its Hong Kong office. This role will focus on supporting North Asia DCM transactions.

What you'll do

Provide legal support on a wide range of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) transactions across North Asia
Independently manage debt issuances, programme establishments and updates, and transaction execution from inception to completion
Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on transaction documentation and related legal matters
Advise on regulatory, legal, and documentation issues relating to capital markets activities
Partner closely with business teams, external counsel, issuers, underwriters, trustees, and other transaction participants
Support the Capital Markets & Advisory business on broader transactional and advisory matters as required

What we're looking for

Qualified lawyer with 8+ years' Asia DCM experience gained in-house or in private practice

Strong experience advising on a broad range of debt capital markets transactions, including standalone issuances and programme work

Able to manage transactions independently with minimal supervision

Familiarity with North Asia markets and cross-border transactions

Strong drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and project management skills

Commercially minded and comfortable working in a fast-paced financial services environment

Immediate availability or short notice period preferred
