Paralegal - General Counsel & Risk

The role

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is seeking a Paralegal to join their General Counsel & Risk team in London. This role will provide legal advice and support to colleagues within the firm's Office of General Counsel.

What you'll do

• Conduct legal research, articulating views clearly in writing and verbally
• Review regulatory guidance in all jurisdictions in which the firm operates and keeping team updated of developments
• Assist in the preparation of compliance and risk training
• Assist with the provision of in-house legal advice to practice groups
• Assist with the preparation of responses to client questionnaires and pitch information requests
• Provide support to in-house disputes team, including with respect to regulatory and claims matters
• Assist with the document management of policies, databases and client terms of engagement
• Assist with corporate governance and company secretarial functions
• Assist with the firm's internal agreements and constitutional arrangements between its legal entities and partners
• Assist with the renewal of the firm's insurance policies, including addressing queries from underwriters
• Create and maintain on-line resources
• Undertake administrative tasks
