Corporate M&A / Private Equity Associate at Jones Day

The role

Jones Day is seeking a mid-level Corporate M&A / Private Equity Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its New York office. This role involves working on a wide range of M&A and private equity transactions for both strategic participants and financial sponsors.

What you'll do

Work across the spectrum of corporate transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, divestitures, and joint ventures
Advise on buyouts, take-private transactions, co-investments, and portfolio company acquisitions and dispositions

What we're looking for

3-6 years of large law firm experience working on M&A and/or private equity transactions

Excellent drafting and negotiation skills

Superior academic background

Desire for teamwork, significant responsibility, and client interaction

Experience on both the strategic and sponsor side· nice to have

Concentration in either M&A or private equity· nice to have
