Senior Associate - Restructuring, Insolvency & Special Situations at Clayton Utz

The role

Clayton Utz is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Restructuring, Insolvency & Special Situations practice in Sydney. This role is for an experienced lawyer with over 5 years of PQE, who will act on high-profile restructuring matters for global financial institutions and listed companies.

What you'll do

Act for global financial institutions, listed and multi-national companies, financiers and insolvency practitioners
Act on a range of high profile restructuring matters including complex receiverships and workouts, complex financing arrangements, distressed debt, special situations, and corporate insolvency

What we're looking for

5+ years' PQE gained within a leading commercial law firm

Excellent academic performance

High quality and technically-sound drafting skills

Excellent attention to detail

A proactive and dedicated approach to client service

Strong time and project management skills

Commitment to continuous learning

Experience in transactional banking or finance, with a desire to pivot expand your skillset into restructuring· nice to have
