Associate, Americas Disputes

The role

White & Case is seeking an Associate for its Americas Disputes practice in Los Angeles/New York. This role is for a litigation attorney with 3-5 years of PQE to handle complex legal tasks and support senior lawyers in various stages of litigation.

What you'll do

• Support in various aspects of case preparation, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and compliance to legal standards
• Assist in developing case strategies by analyzing legal issues and contributing to strategy discussions with senior lawyers
• Coordinate discovery processes, including reviewing and organizing documents, and managing evidence collection
• Represent clients in preliminary hearings and depositions, supporting senior lawyers in trial preparations and court appearances
• Manage case files, organizing case materials, and ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met
• Work towards development of litigation related skills and expertise in the field
• Co-ordinate work of more junior members of the team
• Coach and develop more junior lawyers
