Paralegal - Restructuring & Insolvency

The role

Irwin Mitchell is seeking a Paralegal to join their Restructuring & Insolvency team in Leeds. This role supports leading solicitors and experts on diverse cases within the practice area.

What you'll do

• Provide assistance with the receivership process
• Assist with the appointment of administrators
• Assist with transactions such as the sale of companies via pre-packaged administration sales
• Manage own caseloads
• Develop strong relationships with own clients
• Provide preliminary advice and guidance to clients
• Prepare letters and documents for court cases
• Assist with insolvency petitions and applications such as bankruptcy, winding up, applications under s236 of the Insolvency Act 1986, preference claims, claims for transactions at an undervalue and applications for possession
• Support the team on a variety of projects as required
• Provide assistance with regard to the team's clients and caseloads
• Deal with new client enquiries
• Draft documents
• Conduct legal research
• Speak with clients and experts
• Support the team's business development activities
