Trademark Paralegal at Addleshaw Goddard

The role

Addleshaw Goddard is seeking an ambitious Senior Trade Mark Paralegal to join their IP practice in Manchester. The role involves managing a team of paralegals and contributing to the development and management of trade mark portfolios for a diverse range of clients.

What you'll do

Management of team of paralegals, including overseeing allocation of work
Providing technical guidance and training to junior team members
Assist with workflow and process improvement
Drafting and overseeing both domestic and international trade mark applications
Analysing and responding to official communications from trade mark offices, and advising clients accordingly
Management of billing
Handling the renewal and ongoing maintenance of trademarks

What we're looking for

CITMA qualified

Minimum of 5 years' experience working in IP/Trade Marks law

Previous experience supervising or coordinating work of other paralegals or support staff

Experience gained either in a private practice or an in-house setting

Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written

Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

A proactive approach to tasks with a willingness to take the initiative

An organised, detail-focused mindset

The capacity to handle a high volume of complex tasks, effectively manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and facilitate coordination among various stakeholders

Formal line management experience highly desirable· nice to have
