The role

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is seeking a Mid-level Associate to join their Competition, Regulation and Trade team in London. This role requires 2-5 years of PQE and will focus on providing excellent client service within the Antitrust/Competition and Regulatory practice areas.

What you'll do

Plan, prioritise and delegate work tasks as appropriate and update supervising partner/associate on progress
Build client relationships, providing excellent client service and prompt responses and progress updates
Support the firm and others by building effective relationships with individuals and groups across offices
Uphold the firm’s values
Assist with the preparation of legal precedents, legal articles, marketing documents and presentations
Comply with risk requirements, firm policies and all relevant professional responsibilities and legislation

What we're looking for

Two to five years of post-qualified experience

Academic excellence, with at least a 2:1 degree or equivalent

Solicitors' examinations passed first time

Bright self-starters looking for a challenge

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with individuals at all levels

Strong legal skills, including complex drafting, negotiation and project management skills

Good people management and business development skills

Full understanding of law firm profitability and key drivers for financial efficiency

Ability to manage costs and budgets

Regulatory experience· nice to have

Experience of working on mergers· nice to have
