The role
Smart & Biggar is seeking a Patent Agent or Patent Lawyer with 4+ years of PQE to join their national EICT Patent group in Montreal. This role is for professionals with an engineering background looking to manage, obtain, and leverage IP assets for clients.

- Work closely with world-class leaders in IP
- Manage, obtain, and leverage IP assets for the benefit of clients
What we're looking for
Bachelor's, Master's, and/or PhD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Patent Agent or Patent Agent Trainee
Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Strong communication, client-facing, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities
Bilingual: strong written and spoken English and French
