The role
Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP is seeking an Associate for their Business Crimes, Investigations & Compliance practice group in Calgary, Canada. This role is for an individual with 2-5 years of litigation or related experience.
What you'll do
- Defend multinational and domestic corporations and individuals in white-collar criminal matters
- Conduct multi-jurisdictional internal investigations on complex white-collar, anti-corruption, sanctions and fraud matters
- Develop compliance programs
- Perform risk assessments
- Advise about legality and risk mitigation
- Conduct due diligence
What we're looking for
Associate with two to five years of litigation experience
Associate with two to five years of business crimes, investigations and compliance experience
Experience in white-collar criminal matters
Experience conducting multi-jurisdictional internal investigations
Experience developing compliance programs
Experience performing risk assessments
Experience advising about legality and risk mitigation
Experience conducting due diligence
International travel is an anticipated part of this role
