The role
Devry Smith Frank LLP is seeking a Senior Family Lawyer with 8+ years of experience in Toronto, Canada. This role is for an experienced professional to manage complex family law matters and contribute to the growth of the family law group.
What you'll do
- Manage and advance a broad range of complex family law matters, including separation, divorce, custody, access, support, and property issues
- Draft, negotiate, and review family law agreements and court materials
- Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations
- Collaborate with other practice groups where multidisciplinary support is required
- Maintain and grow your existing client base
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience in family law
Excellent legal drafting skills
Excellent advocacy skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Proven ability to manage files independently
Proven ability to manage files as part of a team
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong client relationship skills
A full or partial portable practice is required
Desire to contribute to the ongoing growth of the family law group through mentorship and other efforts
