Associate Lawyer – Project Development - Vancouver Office at Fasken

The role

Fasken is seeking an Associate Lawyer with 3-5 years of experience in project development to join their Projects practice group in Vancouver. This role focuses on advising clients and supporting senior lawyers on complex, large-scale transactions within the mining, energy, infrastructure, and natural resource sectors.

What you'll do

Advise clients on project development, procurement, construction and commercial matters
Support senior lawyers on project development, procurement, construction and commercial matters
Work on a broad range of project development and commercial matters
Engage with complex large scale transactions
Engage with nationally significant projects across multiple industries
Work in an integrated, multi-disciplinary environment

What we're looking for

3-5 years of experience advising clients and supporting senior lawyers on project development, procurement, construction and commercial matters

Experience preferably in the mining, energy, infrastructure, and natural resource sectors

Experience with major project procurement

Experience with project delivery models

Experience with the drafting and negotiation of engineering, procurement, construction, equipment supply, consulting and operational agreements

Experience with broader transactional and commercial matters in these sectors

Benefits

Compensation: the typical salary range for this position is $145,000 - $185,000 annually
