Associate / Senior Associate - Restructuring

The role

Hill Dickinson is seeking an Associate / Senior Associate to join their Restructuring & Insolvency practice in London. This role is for a qualified legal professional with demonstrable experience in supporting restructuring matters, advising businesses and individuals facing financial difficulties, as well as lenders and investors.

What you'll do

• Advise with respect to debt restructurings and lender negotiations; distressed and opportunistic investments including special situations and debt sales
• Assist in due diligence and analysis of capital structures, security packages and creditor positions
• Support cross-border transactions
• Assist in connection with formal insolvency processes including prepack insolvency transactions, administrations, liquidations and receiverships
• Assist with distressed property assignments including security reviews, appointment of receivers and administrators, validity of appointment advice and sales on behalf of office holders and lenders under power of sale
• Advise lenders on validity of security, enforcement strategies, facilitating appointment of office holders
• Assist on board support assignments providing advice and assistance to corporate entities in the ‘twilight zone’ of solvency
• Effectively and pro-actively manage own matters
• Brief Counsel and/or third-party experts as required on specific matter assignments
