Associate - Construction Advisory & Disputes - Melbourne

The role

Pinsent Masons is seeking a Construction Advisory & Disputes Associate with 2+ years of PQE for their Melbourne office. This role focuses on advising clients on complex construction and engineering projects, handling disputes through various resolution methods.

What you'll do

• Advise on major construction, engineering, energy and resource projects
• Advise clients on issues arising from live projects
• Handle formal dispute resolution including arbitration, court, mediation and adjudication
• Provide legal advice on the entire lifecycle of an asset
• Experience in early analysis of claims, live disputes or distressed projects
• Experience in adjudication under Security of Payment legislation
• Experience in arbitration and litigation (both domestic and international)
• Experience in alternative dispute resolution including expert determination, negotiation, mediation and dispute review boards
• Experience in strategic case management
• Experience in negotiating the settlement of claims
