The role
Orrick is seeking an Associate with 4+ years of experience to join their Technology Transactions team in Los Angeles. This role will focus on drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and advising technology companies on IP strategies and product development.
What you'll do
- Draft, review, and negotiate collaboration, partnering, licensing, and other commercial agreements for companies at any stage of their life cycle
- Work closely with technology companies to provide expert guidance on product strategy, development, and market positioning
- Advise clients on corporate partnerships, strategic alliances, licensing agreements and aspects of product research, development and commercialization in both the life sciences and general technology sectors
- Assist in navigating IP and technology aspects of complex M&A transactions, public offerings and venture capital financings
- Conduct research and analysis on diverse technologies, including AI, fintech, autonomous vehicles, edtech, renewable energy, AR/VR, cybersecurity, biotechnology, and digital health
What we're looking for

JD is required
