The role

Ashurst Perkins Coie is seeking a Senior Associate with expertise in Construction and Supply Chain law to join their Brisbane team. This role involves working closely with a partner on major infrastructure projects, providing commercial advice to high-profile clients, and managing complex matters with a focus on procurement and delivery.

What you'll do

Take a leading role on matters with clients
Provide commercial advice on a range of market leading and complex projects
Work with clients in broader sectors including defence
Draft, review, and negotiate project documentation—including contracts, amendments, and correspondence—across all aspects of clients' supply chains on major infrastructure projects

What we're looking for

Senior Associates from a top-tier or mid-tier firm (or in-house) with hands-on experience in a projects, infrastructure, or construction practice

Experience with Australian construction contracts and government client work

Genuine passion for the infrastructure, energy, and transport sectors

Ability to see beyond purely legal issues and take a commercial, big-picture approach

Demonstrated experience in client advisory & matter management

Experience taking day-to-day ownership of complex infrastructure and procurement matters (spanning data centres, transport, energy, and defence)

Experience providing commercial advice directly to high-profile clients with a high degree of autonomy

Experience in commercial contract delivery including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating project documentation across clients' supply chains on major infrastructure projects

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including relationship building & team development
