Insurance (Personal Injury) - Lawyer/Associate

The role

Mills Oakley is seeking a Lawyer/Associate with 2-3 years of experience to join their Sydney Insurance team. This role focuses on personal injury matters, including public liability, CTP, and professional negligence, supporting partners Stephen Vardanega and Leah Pryde.

What you'll do

• Prepare draft advices on liability and damages
• Conduct thorough investigations into claims
• Analyse and advise on expert reports and documents produced on subpoena
• Draft and file legal documents including Subpoenas, Defences and Cross Claims
• Prepare for and attend interlocutory Court applications in the Supreme Court, District Court and PIC
• Attend settlement and witness conferences, mediations and hearings with the Partner and Special Counsel
• Conduct legal research
• Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations
• Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to achieve positive outcomes for clients
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
