The role
MinterEllisonRuddWatts seeks a Senior Solicitor or Senior Associate with 5+ years of PQE in Financial Services for their Auckland-based Regulatory and Finance practice. This role involves advising a diverse client base, including financial institutions and market disruptors, on investment funds, FinTech, and financial services regulations.
What you'll do
- Advise on investment funds (KiwiSaver, retail funds and private equity/venture capital)
- Advise on FinTech
- Advise on financial services regulations
- Deal with regulators such as the FMA, RBNZ, DIA, MBIE and MoJ on behalf of clients
What we're looking for
Minimum of 5 years' PQE in financial services practice
Experience from another top tier law firm or financial institution
Strong academics and technical skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally
Enjoy mentoring junior members of staff· nice to have
Demonstrate leadership qualities· nice to have
Enjoy participating in business development activities· nice to have
Good skills and a strong ambition to step up a level from markets, corporate or litigation· nice to have
