Corporate and Commercial Lawyer at Anthony Harper

The role

Anthony Harper is seeking an experienced Corporate and Commercial Lawyer with 3+ years of PQE to join their Christchurch office. This role focuses on M&A and related corporate advisory work, offering high-quality transactions and career development within a supportive team.

What you'll do

Work alongside Partners and the wider team across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, shareholder and joint venture arrangements, business structuring, private equity and venture capital, commercial contracting, and general corporate and commercial advisory work
Work with founders, investors, boards and established businesses on significant transactions
Take ownership of your work
Work directly with clients
Be involved in matters from start to finish

What we're looking for

Admission to practise in New Zealand

At least three years of post-qualification experience in corporate or commercial law

Strong drafting skills

Confidence working both independently and collaboratively

Ability to deliver high quality work that meets client expectations

Commercially pragmatic approach to legal advice

Clear and effective communication with clients and colleagues

Sound judgement and problem-solving ability

Ability to build positive working relationships

Motivation to continue developing technical capability and professional skills
