The role
Russell McVeagh is seeking a mid-senior Corporate Lawyer with 4+ years of experience to join their Infrastructure and Projects practice group in Wellington. This role focuses on a broad range of corporate advisory and commercial matters, with a special emphasis on large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects, including joint ventures, M&A, capital raisings, shareholder arrangements, and project contracts. The position involves working directly with partners Michael Loan and Cath Shirley-Brown.
What you'll do
- Work on a broad range of corporate advisory and commercial matters
- Work on large scale renewable energy and infrastructure matters
- Handle joint ventures
- Handle public and private M&A
- Handle capital raisings
- Handle shareholder arrangements
- Handle project contracts
What we're looking for
A legal qualification
A minimum of 4 years’ legal experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and think critically
A strong service focus with the need to listen and understand the essential requirements of different areas of the firm
Ability to build connections and work collaboratively
