The role
Holland & Knight is seeking an Insurance Regulatory Associate with 1-5 years of experience to join its State and Local Policy Regulation practice group in Dallas, Houston, or Austin. This role focuses on insurance regulatory law, requiring strong research, writing, and communication skills to assist clients with regulatory matters.
What you'll do
- Conduct legal research
- Prepare written documents such as legal memos and opinion letters
- Communicate with regulators
- Prepare contracts
- Analyze insurance related contracts and other types of agreements
- Attend hearings and other meetings
- Review due diligence documents
- Prepare regulatory filings
What we're looking for
1-5 years of experience
Licensed to practice and in good standing in Texas
Minimum of 1 year of experience in insurance regulatory law
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail
Commitment to client service
Ability to appropriately prioritize matters
