The role

Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking a Senior Associate/Counsel for its Finance, Restructuring & Insolvency practice in London. This role is for an experienced litigator with a strong background in disputes related to insolvency, restructuring, and financial distress, who can manage complex cross-border matters and client relationships.

What you'll do

Advise on complex, high-value and often cross-border commercial disputes
Take significant responsibility for client relationships
Take significant responsibility for matter management
Take significant responsibility for junior lawyer development
Act as a trusted adviser to clients
Lead matters and transaction teams
Work closely with colleagues across our international network
Support the strategic growth of the practice
Advise on a broad range of commercial and corporate disputes
Advise on complex litigation
Advise on civil fraud
Advise on asset tracing and recovery
Advise on banking and finance disputes
Advise on enforcement
Advise on cross-border disputes
Advise on contentious matters arising from insolvency and restructuring situations
Work alongside lawyers across our restructuring and insolvency, banking and finance and financial institutions practices on complex and high-value matters

What we're looking for

Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales

Experience at a top-tier UK, US or international law firm

Strong focus on commercial litigation and disputes

Excellent knowledge of English commercial and civil litigation law and procedure

Significant experience of banking and finance disputes

Significant experience of civil fraud and asset recovery and enforcement matters

Significant experience of disputes arising in the context of insolvency, restructuring or financial distress

Experience of complex commercial disputes, including High Court litigation

Strong experience of developing and executing litigation and dispute resolution strategies

Experience of working on cross-border disputes

Ability to coordinate effectively with lawyers, clients and other advisers across multiple jurisdictions

Strong track record of leading complex matters, managing client relationships and taking responsibility for matter strategy, client advice and delivery

Experience in financial services firm insolvency and special administration regimes· nice to have

Experience of civil fraud, asset tracing and recovery would be particularly valuable· nice to have
