Mining & Resources - Associate/Senior Associate

The role

Mills Oakley is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join their Projects practice in Brisbane, Australia. This role is for a solicitor with 3+ years of PQE, focusing on advising mining and resources clients on transactional and regulatory matters.

What you'll do

• Advise on mining and resources approvals across the project lifecycle: exploration, development and production
• Assist clients with tenure, environmental authorities, native title and cultural heritage, land access and compensation matters
• Support mining and resources M&A, including due diligence, transaction documents and completion
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including joint ventures, offtake and royalty arrangements
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development
