Family Senior/Managing Associate

The role

Harbottle & Lewis is seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior/Managing Associate to join its highly regarded Family Law team in London. This role is for a family lawyer looking to advance their career by managing their own caseload with a high degree of autonomy and delivering excellent legal advice and client service.

What you'll do

• Manage a varied and complex caseload of family law matters with a high degree of autonomy
• Take responsibility for matters from initial instruction through to resolution, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard
• Provide clear, pragmatic and commercially aware legal advice to clients
• Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients and other professional advisers
• Conduct negotiations and, where appropriate, represent clients in court and other dispute resolution forums
• Demonstrate strong judgement when dealing with complex and sensitive family matters
• Manage competing priorities, deadlines and client expectations effectively
• Contribute to the development and profile of the Family team and wider firm
• Support and share knowledge with more junior members of the team where appropriate
• Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
• Keep up to date with developments in family law and ensure advice reflects current legislation and practice
